Currently there is a strong wind blowing with stronger gusts at times. There has been fresh snowfall over night which has topped up the coverage to a good level. However due to the strong winds there are deep drifts throughout the area and icy patches with the snow having been blown off the more exposed areas of the slopes. So some caution should be exercised whilst conducting snow sports today. Temperatures are around 0′ with a prevalent wind chill so adequate clothing is essential today
The route up has snow on the road down to just below the registration area with drifts on the ladder. Visibility is restricted from the ladder up, so drivers should drive to the conditions, put lights on and follow instructions from PWS in regards to snow chains.
