As you may be aware, Ben Lomond’s Public Shelter facilities were damaged by fire in May this year. As a result the Parks and Wildlife Service have been able to put in place a number of temporary solutions for the visiting public whilst permanent arrangements are put in place.
- A public shelter is located at the top of the village car park and a toilet block close by at the beginning of the main village street.
- Two new toilets are also installed at the Ben Lomond Snow Sports building adjacent to the toboggan area and;
- A larger public shelter and toilets have been fitted up at the Northern Tasmania Alpine Club who have a formal arrangement in place to open part of their facility as a public shelter for the 2018 season.
