Good morning snow lovers!

If your heading to the alpine areas in Tassie today don’t forget to rug up. Today conditions are turning towards the approaching frontal system which is expected to bring snow over the weekend.

Its currently on 0 degrees on the mountain. The snow cover is holding up well after a great turnout from the public yesterday to try their luck on the best weather day of the snow season thus far. Visibility remains good, with two new village and mountain cams operating today there is always something to keep your eye on current conditions. This morning Visibility remains pretty clear despite there being clouds up high. Moderate to gusty NNW winds have settled in and are forecast to increase through the day. Thanks to Alpine Enterprises for hosting today’s feature image, a great spot to view some of the summit sights.

LIFTS: Today 4 to 5 lifts will be turning. with Bass, Village and Summit on the front slopes and Fannies on the back slopes. Lift crews were hard at work last night after closing to prepare Bills Lift for first turns today, so if conditions allow Bills is planned to be operational in the afternoon today.
