[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Following a number of consistent snowfalls Ben Lomond is set for this weekend following close to a 20 centimeter dump of snow on Thursday evening. Snow conditions are moderate to good with a fresh cover of snow. The North Westerly snow faired better on the front slopes and with more snowfalls tonight, conditions will be fresh in the morning for those coming up to have a ski or snowboard.
Parks and Wildlife worked with road contractors Gradco today to clear snow from Jacob’s ladder, the plateau and car park in preparation for the weekend.
Lift crews worked hard through the day deicing to ensure all the front lifts were operating this afternoon including the Summit lift which takes snow goers near the top of Legges Tor, the states second highest peak.
Its been confirmed that subject to weather conditions Alpine enterprises will be operating 3 lifts tomorrow and working on deicing a 4th on the back slopes in the morning.
Over the weekend junior skiers and boarders will be training in preparations for the Ben Lomond Junior Races scheduled to be held on 9 August 2015. Parents are encouraged to bring their kids to register at Felix Race Hut and help set up for training commencing 11am Saturday and Sunday for race training
All the mountain businesses are ready for snow goers arriving first thing. If your travelling to the mountain tomorrow don’t forget that chains are required if you are venturing part the park registration car park. No Chains?
