The snow cover on the slopes remains good, but there rocks and bushes are beginning to become more exposed over the ski fields.

Skiers and boarders are reminded to be alert to orange poles across the resort which indicate a hazard. Caution is advised in these areas.

Also the blue pole line from the top of Summit lift provides a clear traverse to the back slopes as Village lift is out of action.

Forecasters are confident that more snow to below the base camp ground or the 900m ASL level tomorrow and follow up falls on Friday to 1100 both of up to 10mm.

The additional snow has come at a time perfect for the impending Junior race championships scheduled for this Saturday 18 August.
